The Glads’ philosophy

A football player in a helmet and jersey with the number 74, reaching out to shake hands with another player during a game or practice.

At the Gladiators, you're not a passenger — you're an owner. Our coaches give you the tools, the film, and total clarity on where you stand; what you bring is the effort. That part's non-negotiable.

We don't chase players to turn up for the early sessions, because the standard is held by the squad, not the whistle.

Being a Gladiator is a job that doesn't stop at kickoff: you recruit the next generation, you protect the kit like the armour it is, and you invest in the programme's future.

We don't ask for handouts — we earn the right.

Look good, feel good, play good.

Why us?

Because we're more than a team; we're a Tribe, a Familia. Over the past few seasons the Glads have pulled off one of the biggest turnarounds in university sport, going from underdogs to genuine playoff contenders, and we're only getting hungrier. We've sent players to the BUCS All-Stars game and even into full-time football abroad, so if you've got ambition, there's a pathway here. But it's not just about the wins. Ask anyone who's worn the kit and they'll tell you the same thing: this is a family. Every player is close, every player has a place, and every player pushes the ones next to them to be better. Whether you're chasing a sporting challenge, a fitness goal, or just your own people — you'll find all three here. No experience needed. Just bring the effort, and we'll build the rest.
